How to Clean a Bath Without a Sponge
- 1). Remove the tub drain. You can either lift it straight up or use the lever. In some cases, you may need to remove a screw or two before you can lift it up.
- 2). Pull out any globs of hair or soap scum that you see inside the drain. To make this process less icky, wear rubber gloves. Replace the drain.
- 3). Cover the inside of the tub with baking soda. Dampen a standard bath cloth and wipe down the inside of the tub. This will remove much of the built-up debris and surface germs.
- 4). Mix a gallon of water with 1/4 cup bleach to remove mildew from the tub.
- 5). Wet the cloth with the bleach solution and wipe down any areas that are affected by mildew.
- 6). Turn on the tub faucet or shower to rinse the bath with cool water.
