How to Use a 5D Mark II Video
- 1). Turn the camera on by sliding the power switch to "On."
- 2). Press the "Menu" button, and select "Live View/Movie Function Set." Press "Set." Enable "Movie Recording."
- 3). Select "LV Function Setting." Choose "Stills + Movie," and then "Movie Display."
- 4). Select "Movie Record Size," and choose a resolution you wish to use. The higher the resolution, the better the image quality will be.
- 5). Press the "Live View" button to begin Live View. This displays the image on the LCD screen.
- 6). Rotate the shooting mode dial to the square box. This mode features automatic exposure settings. To adjust shutter speed manually, select "TV" on the shooting mode dial. Turn the adjustment dial to change the shutter speed. The "Av" setting will allow you to set the aperture. The "M" setting will let you manually adjust ISO, shutter speed and aperture.
- 7). Look through the viewfinder and set your focus. This is done by focusing using the lens manually, or by pressing the shutter release button partially to initiate auto-focus.
- 8). Select the "Set" button to begin recording. Press "Set" again to stop.
- 9). Press the shutter release button while recording to take still photos.
