Royal Botania’s Modern Approach to the Great Outdoors

Royal Botania was built on the concept of combining “aesthetic sensibility and precise functionality” in all of its outdoor furniture and accessories. Dedicated to creating luxurious outdoor living spaces, the company works with the motto: “Your leisure is our pleasure.” It’s a statement reinforced with each new line.

Ergonomics, technology and modern lines are the major players in the company’s designs, where curves that appear decorative have actually been put in place to cradle the curves of your body.

This is a company that believes firmly in the marriage of beauty and genius. In fact, the very name “Royal Botania” is one part homage to “the natural beauty of lush botanic gardens,” one part promise for the “royal class furniture” the company set out to create.

Contemporary Product

Royal Botania’s latest offerings include lounges, dining tables, side tables, foldable director’s chairs, and stackable dining chairs for the outdoors. The full line also includes deep-seated sectional sofas and expandable dining tables, exterior lighting and bathroom furniture.

Design influences would appear to include both the future and the past as collections take on slim, refined frames that require less material; feature curvy poly-acrylic shells reminiscent of the mod-’60s; and utilize technologically-advanced materials to add life and durability to the products.

The ergonomics behind the designs are particularly evident in the development of Royal Botania’s chairs and loungers which are researched to provide “the maximum in spinal support and comfort.”

SURF Away

The company’s design talent can be witnessed at its most clever in some of its more daringly visual pieces. Case in point: the SURF hammock. Created as a result of feedback for its award-winning WAVE hammock, SURF is its compact little brother standing a still-impressive 8-feet high and 11-feet long.

This gorgeous piece of furniture was “designed to represent perfect harmony: levitating halfway between heaven and earth.” But its dramatic lines aren’t the only aspect of this design that will impress: the bed can swing freely and accommodate two adults; it creates is own shade with a semi-transparent fabric canopy that blocks 86% of the sun’s rays; is crafted of electro-polished stainless steel for greater resistance to the elements, including marine environments; and can be permanently installed into the ground or fitted with a sturdy base for use on a terrace.

It’s just one example of form in perfect harmony with function in the Royal Botania line.
