- 1). Open an Internet browser window and type the following into the address bar and press the enter key: 192.168.1.254/mdc. This is the address needed to access the 2Wire Management and Diagnostic Console Interface.
- 2). Locate the "Broadband" heading on the left-hand side of the console. Choose the option labeled "Configure" and confirm that there is a number 8 in the VPI box and a 35 in the VCI box.
- 3). Change the ATM PVC Search option to Disable and then change the connection type to Direct IP. Complete the process by clicking the "Submit" button.
- 4). Select "Configure Services" from the console's "Advanced" section. Deselect the "Enable routing" button and then press the "Submit" button. Restart the router to apply the settings.
- 5). Connect the second router to the first router via an Ethernet cable. Devices near the first bridged router will connect directly to it via Ethernet connection while devices nearer to the second router will connect wirelessly.
