    • 1). Wash your sweater alone on a cold water cycle and throw the sweater in the dryer on low heat. Make sure the lint trap is empty to prevent any other lint from getting on the sweater.

    • 2). Layer the sweater flat and roll a lint roller in all directions, backward, forward and sideways to remove stubborn lint. As an alternative, wrap some masking tape around your fingers, sticky side out, and dab at the sweater to pick up fuzz balls.

    • 3). Use a dry pumice stone, sweater brick or scrubber sponge all over the sweater to catch and remove lint. Use long, vertical motions in one direction so you do not create extra fuzz. Sweater bricks have a foul smell, use at your own discretion.

    • 4). Use a disposable razor on an angle moving upward to pull the lint out gently. Use a pair of slanted tweezers to pluck out larger fuzz balls. Use caution, being careful to to pull or rip the fabric.

    • 5). Dab a long piece of Velcro along the sweater to pick up lint and fuzz balls. Use more pieces for a larger sweater or a sweater that has an excess of lint.
