- 1). Place the disassembled laptop on a flat work surface. If you haven't done so already, store the removed hardware components -- RAM, hard drives, WLAN cards, etc -- into static-free plastic bags while you put the laptop back together. This prevents major electrical damage caused by static electricity in your body. This also helps you better organize the laptop's parts.
- 2). Locate the laptop's base enclosure casing. Orient the base enclosure so the data and networking port slots are facing to the left. Place the motherboard inside the laptop's base with the bottom side of the motherboard facing downward. The cooling fan and processor chip are attached to the bottom side of the motherboard.
- 3). Connect all cables to the top side of the motherboard. This includes the modem and sound card cable to the top edge of the motherboard, and the AC power cable to the connector in the upper-right corner of the motherboard.
- 4). Slide the data ports on the left side of the motherboard through the slots on the left side of the base enclosure. Fasten the two hex screws to the serial ports on the left side of the laptop. Fasten the motherboard to the base enclosure with the two slotted Phillips-head screws included with the laptop.
- 5). Place the touchpad device inside the compartment on the bottom edge of the motherboard. Fasten the touchpad to the motherboard with the device's five Phillips-head screws.
- 6). Connect the Bluetooth cable to its motherboard connector situated to the left of the touchpad device. Connect the fingerprint reader cable and the touchpad cable to the two connectors situated just above the touchpad device on the motherboard. Then connect the USB cable to the connector to the right of the touchpad.
- 7). Place the laptop's top enclosure over the motherboard. Attach the three Phillips-head screws to the top edge of the laptop's top casing. Flip the laptop's base over and fasten the six Phillips screws to the laptop's base enclosure. Place the laptop's base face up again.
- 8). Position the LCD display panel on the back edge of the laptop's top side. Align the screw holes on each of the display panel's hinges with the screw holes on each end of the laptop's back edge. Attach two Phillips-head screws to each hinge. Rotate the display panel back and forth to ensure the panel is mounted firmly and properly.
- 9). Locate the two wireless antenna cables extending from the left side of the display panel. Attach the cables to the clips running along the left side of the computer's top cover. Slide the antenna cables through the access hole in the center of the top cover. Connect the LCD panel's main video cable to the connector in the upper-right corner of the motherboard.

Place the speaker assembly inside the slot along the top edge of the computer's top cover. Fasten the assembly to the laptop with the three Phillips-head screws included with the laptop. Connect the speaker assembly's data cable to the motherboard. - 11
Position the keyboard frame inside the large compartment near the center of the laptop's top cover. Fasten two Phillips-head screws to the left side of the keyboard frame. Place the keyboard inside the frame upward at a 45-degree angle. Connect the keyboard's ribbon cable to the connector on the motherboard. Slide the keyboard into the frame. - 12
Pull the display panel closed and place the laptop face down. Replace the 11 Phillips-head screws on the laptop's bottom side. These screws fasten the keyboard assembly and frame to the laptop from the bottom side of the computer. - 13
Locate the memory and wireless card compartment near the center of the laptop's bottom case. Place a memory module at 45-degree angle inside an empty memory slot. Press down on the module until it snaps into place. Repeat this to install all memory modules. - 14
Place the wireless card inside its connector socket. Fasten the card to the motherboard with two Phillips-head screws. Attach the two antenna cables to the wireless card. - 15
Position the hard drive inside the drive compartment in the lower-right corner of the laptop's bottom side. Slide the hard drive to the left until it connects with the data connector on the motherboard. Fasten the hard drive to the compartment with the three included Phillips screws. Place the plastic compartment cover on top of the hard drive. Fasten the cover's two Phillips-head screws. - 16
Slide the CD/DVD drive into the compartment slot on the left side of the laptop's casing. Push the drive into the compartment until the drive snaps into place. Place the battery pack into the compartment along the top edge of the laptop's bottom case. Push down on the battery until it snaps into place.
