How to Remove a Permanent Marker From Ceramic Tile
- 1). Pour 1/2 cup of denatured alcohol into a small container. Fill another small container with water.
- 2). Dip a section of a cloth into the alcohol to wet it. Scrub the permanent marker stain with the part of the cloth soaked in denatured alcohol.
- 3). Dip a section of another cloth in the container filled with water and wipe the alcohol residue off of the tile. Dry with a clean cloth.
- 1). Measure 1 tsp. of white, non-gel toothpaste into a measuring spoon. Drop the paste into a small container. Add 1/3 tsp. of baking soda to the toothpaste.
- 2). Stir the baking soda into the toothpaste with a small spoon until you no longer see any baking soda particles.
- 3). Dip the head of an old toothbrush into the mixture to gather the paste. Apply the paste to the permanent marker stain with the toothbrush. Scrub the stained area to remove the stain. Allow the paste to remain on the stained area for 3 minutes.
- 4). Fill a small container with water. Dip a clean cloth into the water, and squeeze it gently to remove excess fluid. Rinse the baking soda and toothpaste cleaner from the tile with the cloth. Dry the cleaned area with a dry cloth.
