How to Create an SWF Flash File

1). Click the Windows "Start" button and open the Adobe Flash program from the "Programs" list.
2). Click the "File" option from the top navigation bar.
3). Select the "Open" option and navigate to an FLA file to open. A new FLA file may be created by clicking the "File" option, then selecting "New." Add text, sound, graphics and animation and save the file.
4). Click the "File" option from the top navigation menu once the FLA file is complete.
5). Click the "Publish Settings" option from the "File" context menu.
6). Click the tab labeled "Format."
7). Check the check boxes for the "HTML" option and the "SWF" option.
8). Rename the HTML code block and the new SWF file by typing new file names into the text input boxes, if desired.
9). Click the "Publish" option and then click the "OK" button to create the SWF file along with the HTML code block.

Preview the SWF file with the HTML in a web browser.
