- 1). Verify that the Electrolux microwave is plugged into a power source if the microwave is not working. Reset or replace the circuit breaker or fuse as needed.
- 2). Close the microwave door firmly and make a cooking selection before pressing "Start" if the unit has power but is not cooking as expected.
- 3). Unlock the child lock feature if there is power but nothing on the control pad will operate. Press "User Pref" and then the "Start/Add 30 sec" pad to release the lock.
- 4). Remove lingering odors in the microwave by mixing together 1 cup water, several cloves and the juice and grated peel of one lemon into a 2-cup glass measuring container. Set the container in the microwave, shut the door and run for several minutes until the mixture is boiling. Leave the mixture in the microwave until cool. Remove the mixture and wipe down the microwave with a clean, damp cloth.
- 5). Remove the turntable and support if the turntable is soiled or is not turning properly. Wash with lukewarm water and dishwashing liquid. Rinse well and dry with a towel before replacing both in the microwave. Set the turntable firmly on the support and rotate with a hand to ensure it is moving correctly before use.
- 6). Pull down on the filter tab, located near the front of the microwave, if the unit is not cooking as expected. Lift out both filters and soak in a pan filled with hot water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Use a scrubbing brush to clean the filters. Rinse well and shake dry. Slide the filters back into the microwave before using the unit.
