How to Setup POP3 Mail in Windows
- 1). Open Windows Mail. Click the "Start" button, "All Programs" and "Windows Mail."
- 2). Select the "Tools" menu and click "Accounts." Click "Add" to open a setup wizard.
- 3). Select "Email Account" from the "Select Account Type" window. Click "Next" to display the next window after each of the proceeding steps.
- 4). Enter the name you want to display as sender in the "Your Name" window (this may include your real name or a company name).
- 5). Enter your email address in the next window, "Internet E-mail Address."
- 6). Select "POP3" from the drop-down menu in the "Set up e-mail servers" window.
- 7). Enter your email user name in the "Internet Logon" window. For example, enter "janedoe@gmail.com," "janedoe@yahoo.com" or "janedoe@hotmail.com" depending on the domain name that provides your email. Enter the password associated with that email account. Click "Remember Password" to store the password. If you do not store the password, you will be prompted for the password each time you access your mailbox.
- 8). Click "Finish" to store your settings. Repeat these steps for each additional email address you wish to add.
