    iTunes

    • 1). Open the iTunes program.

    • 2). Click the "File" menu and select "Add File to Library." Find the MP3s you'd like to add to your iPod and double click on them, which will add them into the iTunes library.

    • 3). Connect the USB cable to a USB port on the computer and the iPod. Depending on your settings, MP3s might automatically begin transferring to the iPod. This might take awhile. Be aware that this will erase songs from the iPod that are not in the iTunes library. If you don't want this to happen, use a different program, such as Winamp or CopyTrans Manager. If you do want to use iTunes and your settings don't automatically transfer MP3s to the iPod, continue using the following steps.

    • 4). Click your iPod's name under the "Devices' list on the left side of the iTunes program.

    • 5). Click the "Sync" button in the bottom right corner of the screen. This will sync the iPod to the iTunes library, transferring the MP3s you added earlier.

    Winamp

    • 1). Connect the USB cable to the iPod and a computer USB port.

    • 2). Open the Winamp program.

    • 3). Click the "Media Library" tab positioned near the top left corner of Winamp. In the left menu column, you'll see the iPod located in the "Portables" list.

    • 4). Click the "File" dropdown menu and select "Add Media to Library." Find the folders of MP3s you'd like to transfer to your iPod and double click on them. The files will transfer to your Winamp music library. You can view your Winamp music library by clicking the "Audio" option found under "Local Media" in the left column menu.

    • 5). Click and drag those MP3 files, dropping them onto the iPod located in the "Portables" list. Click the iPod, and then click the "Sync" button at the bottom of Winamp. The MP3s will transfer to the iPod.

    CopyTrans Manager

    • 1). Connect the iPod to your computer USB port using the USB cable.

    • 2). Open the CopyTrans Manager program.

    • 3). Click the button found in the top middle area of the manager that looks like an iPod with a plus sign on top of it. Find the MP3s you'd like to transfer to the iPod, click them, and select "OK." The files will transfer to CopyTrans Manager.

    • 4). Click the button found in the top left area of the manager that looks like an iPod with an arrow on top pointing to the left. The MP3s will transfer to the iPod.
