- 1). Insert the USB data cable into the USB port on the bottom of the Kindle 2. Plug the opposite end of the cable into one of the USB ports on the computer.
- 2). Select "Start," (My) "Computer" and double-click the removable device icon. A window appears with all the files saved on the Kindle 2. Select the "Books" folder to access the book files.
- 3). Click and drag the eBook files from your computer (the files may originate anywhere on the computer, depending on where you saved the files to) into the open "Books" window. After the files have finished copying onto the Kindle 2, close out all the open windows. Right-click the removable device icon and choose "Eject."
- 4). Press the "Home" button on the Kindle 2 and scroll through the titles of books with the scroll feature on the right side of the device. After you find a book you want to read, push the button on the navigation control straight down. When the book loads, push "Next Page" to progress the page or push "Prev Page" to move to the previous page.
