Easy Stars Centerpieces
- For an elegant celestial centerpiece, use floating candles. Fill a large clear glass bowl with water; add a few drops of blue food coloring to resemble a night sky. Place yellow or gold metallic floating candles on top of the water. If you prefer not to color the water, place gold marbles on the bottom of the bowl for a shimmery effect.
- Use sprays of glittery stars in place of traditional floral centerpieces. Fill a flower pot with a piece of craft Styrofoam or florist foam. Place gold, silver and blue foil sprays of stars into the Styrofoam; insert the sprays' sticks deep into the foam for a secure fit. As a decorative touch, wrap a sheet of blue foil around the flower pot; place a rubber band at the top of the pot and allow the foil to stand up.
- Design a star-enhanced floral arrangement. Decorate a dark blue glass vase with glow-in-the-dark star-shaped stickers; the stickers will create ambiance during evening dinner parties. Fill the vase with star-shaped flowers, such as asters and shooting star flowers. If you can't find these blooms, use a combination of yellow and white flowers instead.
- Set the stage for a celestial centerpiece by covering the table with a dark blue tablecloth. Sprinke shiny gold star-shaped confetti all over the cloth. Fill gold star-shaped votive holders with dark blue taper candles.
- Buy a metallic hollow star-shaped sculpture featuring small perforations. Place a tea light under the sculpture, allow the star shape to glow. Place several of these in a grouping in the center of the table.
