    • 1). Line a basket, any size, with floral foam, available at most craft stores. Use scissors to cut the foam into pieces that fit snugly inside the basket.

    • 2). Gather together an assortment of Christmas flowers. The stems must be at least 4 inches long. Poinsettias are a favorite, but you can also choose roses and carnations. Choose shades of red, white and burgundy.

    • 3). Choose Christmas flower arrangement fillers, such as leather leaf and hypericum berries. Baby's breath, English holly, nandina berries, incense cedar and pine cones are ideal additions to your seasonal flower arrangement.

    • 4). Start with the largest flowers. Place the stems right into the floral foam. Mix up the larger flowers and the larger fillers to create the base of the arrangement.

    • 5). Insert medium flowers and fillers next.

    • 6). Finish the Christmas flower arrangement using the smaller flowers and fillers. Place these into the spaces between the already positioned flowers. By the time you have completed your arrangement, none of the foam should show.
