The Best Way to Insulate a Soda
- 1). Chill the soda can overnight in the refrigerator as insulation only holds the cold already in the can and does not chill it further.
- 2). Wrap three layers of newspaper around the sides and bottom of the can. Secure the newspaper in place with duct tape.
- 3). Arrange four Styrofoam blocks around the sides of the newspaper-wrapped soda can, so they sit firmly against the newspaper.
- 4). Wrap duct tape around the Styrofoam blocks to completely encase the soda can on all of the sides.
- 5). Attach two strips of duct tape across the bottom of the can to seal the base of the can. Leave the top open to access the pull top so you can drink the soda inside.
