If you have serious acne there might be things you do every day that make the problem worse. Acne can be a frustrating for many people because there are so many factors to be aware of. Sometimes, even if you take care not to have oily skin you will develop acne anyways. This may be due to an overall lifestyle that makes your skin prone to pimples. If you want clearer skin you may have to consider getting rid of bad daily habits for your skin to improve.

You should never underestimate the importance of overall health in having clear skin. You can look to make simple changes that help your chosen products to be even faster. It might take some time, but you can definitely develop better daily habits over time.
Some people think that washing is good for acne, and they would be right if done in moderation. But if you have a habit of washing profusely or washing too hard, you might be making your acne worse. Acne prone skin is extremely sensitive so you don't want to aggravate it with hard washing, facial masks, or exfoliating you face. One clay mask treatment may sap your face of oil and make it feel better, but you may find in the next few weeks your acne breakouts get worse.

It's also essential to stay away from washing with hot water on a consistent basis because it can have the effect of drying out the skin. It might feel soothing and relaxing, but a hot shower can sap skin of valuable moisture within a matter of mere minutes. Another bad habit people have is overdoing whatever acne treatment they choose to use. So that means over application of creams and lotions which does not do anything to get rid of acne. Most cases of acne will take several weeks to see results, so you have to be patient. People fall into the bad habit of not noticing any results in the first few days and concluding a treatment isn't effective. But you have to keep with it if you want results. If all else fails, see a dermatologist for advice on what habits you may have that lead to acne. You can book an appointment after a referral session with your regular doctor. An overall lifestyle change might be in order but such a thing will probably coincide with better health anyways.
