How to Decorate the Front Porch for Valentine's Day
- 1). Wrap red or pink strings of lights around the railings of the front porch to add a warm, glowing effect to your front porch.
- 2). Cut lengths of red and pink ribbon and tie them around the upper and lower posts of the railings of the porch. Alternate the colors, creating a red and pink pattern along the posts.
- 3). Cut different sized hearts from shimmering red, white and pink paper. Tape the hearts to different lengths of clear filament. Tape the unadorned end of the filament to the ceiling of the porch, allowing the hearts to dangle down, creating the look of hearts raining down.
- 4). Cut the blooms off of silk red, pink and white roses. Insert the blooms into a heart-shaped foam wreath form, completely covering the wreath form. Cut a length of red ribbon and tie it in a loop around the center of the heart. Use the ribbon to hang the flower-covered heart wreath on your front door.
- 5). Place a red or pink door mat that features hearts in front of the door.
- 6). Decorate small real or artificial pine trees with strings of white lights. Hang heart-shaped ornaments on the branches of the trees. Set the trees on either side of the front door.
