How to Decorate Windows With Snow Spray
- 1). Spray window cleaner on the window panes to be decorated and thoroughly wipe off the cleaner and any debris with a paper towel.
- 2). Protect the area around the window by applying painter's tape along the windowsill and the window's frame to protect it from any renegade snow that may go flying while you are spraying the windows.
- 3). Identify the look you want to create on the windows. For a traditional look or a freehand design, you won't need any extra materials; however, to create a specific image, you should consider purchasing stencils from a craft store. If you are using a stencil, use painter's tape to affix it to the window prior to spraying the snow.
- 4). Shake the can of spray snow for up to two minutes to ensure an even application.
- 5). Hold the can in an upright position about a foot away from the glass. For a traditional look, spray around the edges of the window or spray the entire window to give it a frosty look. If you are drawing a freehand design, move the can slowly and steadily as you create the image. If you are using a stencil, spray the snow into the center of the image.
- 6). Place an electric, battery-operated or real candle on the windowsill to enhance its holiday appeal.
