1). Select a trap size suited to catch your target animal. If you don't know which species you're targeting, buy a large model that can accommodate animals of many sizes.
2). Place the trap on a level surface in a place the nuisance animal frequents.
3). Lift the top handle and pull it back until it locks in the rear position.
4). Place bait in the back of the trap, behind the trip plate.
5). Test the trap to make sure it functions properly. Push on the trip plate with your finger, keeping clear of the door.
6). Reset the trap after testing.
7). Transport a trapped animal in the trap to the release area. Place the trap on a washable surface in your vehicle in case it makes a mess.
8). Set the trap on the ground in the release area. Stand behind the trap.
9). Lift the top handle and pull back to the locked position, opening the door.

Stay clear of the trap until the animal leaves.
