    • 1). Add removal cards to your deck. Because of how popular removing cards from play is as a game strategy there are many cards that have this effect. Cards like Banisher of the Light and Banisher of the Radiance both make sure that cards removed from the field are sent to the removal deck, rather than a graveyard. Mirror of the Ice Barrier allows you to remove two cards from your opponent's hand, field or graveyard whenever one card is removed from yours. There are others, but there are too many removal cards to list easily at this point.

    • 2). Shuffle your deck. You can never count on a single card for part of a strategy, so make sure that you've built in enough different removal cards that chance favors you getting cards that allow you to remove cards from the game.

    • 3). Play your opponent. As the game progresses, use your cards that create removal effects to pick cards out of your opponent's hands, off his side of the field and to remove them from his graveyard. Make sure that you have enough monsters, spells and traps to keep your side alive while setting up your removal strategy as well, because while having removal abilities is great, you need to have protections in place too.
