What Does All These Words Mean?

My post yesterday was all about what people don't tell you about Drugs-kinda like "Half-Truths and Full Lies" if you want to put it like that.
But that is exactly what it is...
"Half-Truths and Full Lies".
You have to remember that a dealer will do anything in his/her power to get you to buy Drugs-they don't care what it will do to you-all they care about is the money.
So in order for them to make their money, they will tell you half-truths and full lies just to get you to buy the Drugs.
Now, before I go any further with what you should know about Drugs, I want to take you through some "Glossary".
In order for you to understand 100% what Drugs are about, you have to understand the terms that will be used in each article from here on out.
Abuse-harmful use of a substance or behavior; Addiction-a state of physical or mental dependence on a substance or behavior that will most likely have a damaging effect; Craving-a physical, psychological and physiological obsession with a substance or behavior; Dependent-the physical or mental need to use a substance or behavior regularly despite the fact that it will cause damage physically, mentally or emotionally; Drug-any substance or behavior that releases excess dopamine in the brain, resulting in altered perceptions, dizziness, euphoria, loss of memory, lack of coordination and unconsciousness; Tolerance-a gradual loss or reduction of the effects of a substance or behavior, resulting in heightened use to achieve the same effect; Withdrawal-an unpleasant emotional and physical reaction felt when coming off a substance, ranging from mild discomfort to intense pain and seizures, depending on the substance.
Avoiding this pain and discomfort is one reason why addicts can't come off drugs, even when they want to.
That is the Glossary that I will be using in most of my upcoming posts.
But before we move on to different Drugs and what they do, I want to explain to you the difference between a Social User, an Abuser and an Addict.
Social User--uses drugs to enhance pleasure, with negative consequences, no surprises or unpredictability, no complaints and no loss of control or need for limit setting.
Abuser--uses drugs to enhance pleasure or compensate for something negative, occasional unrepeated negative consequences, promises are made and kept, complaints heard and dealt with and limit setting is adhered to.
Addict--uses drugs under any circumstances for any reason, negative consequences are recycled, promises to self and others are broken, complaints are denied and/or not heard, limit setting are broken or non-existent.
