How to Connect Masterflow Ducts
- 1). Position the ducts so that they fit together. One side of a Master Flow duct is smooth, while the other side has a corrugated collar. The corrugated collar fits inside the smooth end of the other duct. Leave room so the duct is neither stretched nor kinked.
- 2). Place a loose strap band around the outside of the smooth end of one duct. The strap band is a metal band with a screw on one section. Turning the screw to the left with a screwdriver loosens the band. Turning the screw to the right tightens the band.
- 3). Squeeze a line of duct sealant all the way around the corrugated collar of the other duct.
- 4). Insert the corrugated collar of one duct into the smooth end of the other.
- 5). Turn the screw on the band until the band wraps securely around the duct joint. Do not over-tighten the band. At no time should the duct buckle.
