How to Cut PVC Molding

    • 1). Adjust the miter saw to the angle that you want to cut the PVC molding. Lock the miter saw in position so that it will not move when cutting the molding.

    • 2). Mark the PVC molding with a pencil where you want to cut the molding. A pencil mark can be wiped off without staining the molding.

    • 3). Place the PVC molding flat against the miter saw table and the fence. Make sure there is no sawdust or debris that will keep the molding from sitting flush with the miter saw fence and table. Brush off any debris with your hand if needed.

    • 4). Start the miter saw so that it is running before you start to cut the PVC molding. The molding cuts like wood, but it will generate plastic debris at the edge of the cut line caused by the heat generated from the saw blade.

    • 5). Remove the plastic debris that was left when the blade melted it during the cut. Wait for it to cool before attempting to remove it.
