- 1). Verify that your computer is capable of running the Adobe Media Player 1.5 program. If you're using a Windows computer you must run Windows XP or Vista on a computer with at least a gigabyte of RAM, 64 megabytes of video RAM and a 2.33 gigahertz processor. To use Media Player 1.5 on a Mac, you will need the OS X or later operating system, 1 gigabyte of RAM and 64 megabytes of video RAM. Mac PowerPC users must have a 1.8 gigahertz processor, while Mac Intel users require a 1.33 gigahertz processor.
- 2). Download a copy of Adobe Media Player 1.5. Adobe ceased support Adobe Media Player as of December 2010, so you'll need to download the player's installation file from a third party software website.
- 3). Navigate to the directory that contains the downloaded installation file. Double-click the file to start the installation wizard.
