Poynt is one of the most well-received applications available in BlackBerry App World. It helps you find movie times and theaters, cheap gas, and restaurants when you're on the go. Recently Poynt was upgraded to version 1.6, and has introduced some very useful features.
Version 1.6 of Poynt has fixed some problems on the BlackBerry Torch. The touchscreen and trackpad issues have been resolved, and the context menus have been enhanced.
Poynt has also been integrated into the Unified Search feature of BlackBerry 6.
Poynt 1.6 runs faster than previous versions, and the GPS also loads your location in formation faster. When you are browsing for movie information, there are now links directly to reviews of the movies on the Rotten Tomatoes website.
Google Maps has been added as a mapping option on Poynt, so you do not have to settle for BlackBerry Maps if you are not a fan. Some issues with AT&T Navigator 2.0 have also been fixed. You can now send destination information directly from Poynt to AT&T Navigator, which saves the trouble of copying and pasting addresses.
