How to Get Wax Out of a Sink Drain
- 1). Put on goggles or a face shield and wear rubber gloves.
- 2). Remove standing water and debris from the drain. Pour less than 1/4 pint down the drain. If no bubbling occurs, pour an additional 1/4 pint down the drain.
- 3). Close the container. Place a cover over the drain to avoid eruption of drain contents and acid. Let the water stand for five to 15 minutes.
- 4). Add one quart of cold water down the drain. Wait for five minutes. If the drain line is clear, run tap water and flush. If it is still clogged, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3.
