How to Change Control Panel Colors in Vista Shell Style
- 1). Click "Start." Click "Control Panel." Click "Appearance and Personalization," then "Personalization."
- 2). Click "Theme." Select "Windows Aero" from the drop-down menu. Click "OK" to change your theme.
- 3). Return to "Personalization." Click "Window Color and Appearance."
- 4). Select a swatch to change the color of the window. Expand "Show color mixer" to adjust the hue, saturation and brightness of the selected color.
- 5). Move the slider beneath "Color intensity" to the left or the right to decrease or increase, respectively, the intensity of the selected color.
- 6). Click "Save changes" to apply the color settings to Control Panel and the rest of Windows Vista.
