  Many teenagers, especially females, like to have sleepover parties to celebrate their birthdays. At a sleepover, teens can watch movies, laugh, eat junk food and have fun with their friends. Although teens will make some of their own fun, it is good to have some games planned to help make the party more enjoyable, keep the teens busy and break the ice if some of the party participants do not know each other well.
  
  

Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt

  Draw up a list of items that you want the teens to find in the yard, and in various places throughout the neighborhood. Write a list of clues or riddles that correspond with the items. Teens will break into groups or pairs and to compete to find all of the items on their list by knocking on neighbors' doors and visiting local spots. When an item is spotted, teens have to take pictures with themselves and the item as proof that it was found. List different items, or list the same items in different orders, so that the teens in one group are not going to the same place as another group at the same time. It is also fun to put some people on the list of items to be found, such as "a boy with a hat," or "a middle child," which require asking strangers or neighbors questions. This game is only good to do if it is early in the evening, if you are friendly with your neighbors, and live in a safe area.
  
  

Getting to Know Each Other

  There are some icebreaker games that can be great for sleepover party guests to get to know one another better. One great game is "Two Truths and a Lie." Have all guests write three statements, two of which are true and one of which is a lie, on a piece of paper. Guests should take turns reading the paper and having the group raise their hand when they hear the statement that they think is the lie. Another game, better for slightly larger or very large groups, is "Who in the Group?" Have each guest write down a random fact about themselves. Have someone not involved in the game collect the facts and read each statement aloud, with the group guessing whose statement is whose.

  Simple, multiple player video games can be a fun addition to any sleepover as many teens can find these games enjoyable. Games that are perfect for sleepovers are Rock Band, Dance Dance Revolution, Mario Party, and Mario Kart. Any multiplayer game that involves simple competition, such as a racing game, can will work if you do not have any of these games in particular.
