How to Adjust the Temperature on a Richmond Water Heater
- 1). Turn off the power to the water heater in your breaker panel.
- 2). Remove the two screws securing the upper cover on the side of the water heater tank. Depending on the model of your Richmond water heater, you may have two thermostats, the second located behind the bottom cover on the side of the water heater.
- 3). Lift the insulation out of the way to expose the thermostat.
- 4). Turn the temperature knob to the desired temperature using a small flat-head screwdriver.
- 5). Replace the cover or covers and secure using the screws that were removed.
- 6). Restore power to the water heater.
