How to Cut Hardie Paneling
- 1). Mark a cutting line on the top of the panel using a piece of chalk with a straightedge as a guide.
- 2). Place the panel onto a pair of sawhorses with the cutting line extending beyond the sawhorse edge.
- 3). Attach a Hardie blade to a circular saw equipped with a dust collector. Set the circular saw onto the panel with the blade aligned with the cutting line at the panel's edge. Turn on the saw and lower the blade onto the panel, cutting through the board. Push the saw forward, cutting through the board with the blade along the cutting line until you reach the board end. Turn off the saw and discard the unwanted portion of the panel.
- 4). Make curved or smaller cuts in the panel with a 4-inch angle grinder equipped with a diamond blade. Mark the cut on the panel. Attach a dust collector to the panel next to the cutting line. Turn on the grinder and press the diamond blade onto the panel, cutting along the marked line. Remove the blade from the panel and then turn off the angle grinder.
