How to Make Fleece Scarves for Christmas Gifts
- 1). Purchase fleece in the pattern you want to use. Make your gift more personal by choosing patterns that have meaning to the recipient. For a hunter, choose a camouflage print; for a sports fan, choose fleece with his favorite team's logo; for a fashionista, choose an animal print. For better scarves, choose a no-pill fleece.

Cut fleece to size: 6 inches by 60 inches for adults, and 4 inches by 48 inches for children. The edges do not need to be finished because fleece will not fray. - 3). Fold the scarf in half lengthwise. Use masking tape on one end to make a line 5 inches long from the end of your fleece.
- 4). Cut half-inch wide fringes at the end of the fleece, using the masking tape as a guideline to ensure that the fringes are 5 inches long. The folded fleece ensures that you need only one line of masking tape in which to cut both ends the same length at the same time.
- 5). Tie a knot at the top of each piece of fringe, so that the knot is at the edge of the solid scarf area.
