How to Use a Tape Gun
- 1). Load the tape into the tape gun. Most tape guns are loaded in a similar fashion; however, follow the instructions on your particular model of tape gun. Lay the tape dispenser flat on the table, and slide the tape core onto the tape wheel.
- 2). Start the roll of tape, and thread the end of it through the pressing roller and the spring flap. The tape should be adhesive side down. If not, flip the roll.
- 3). Cut the paper-covered part of the end of the tape by lifting it up and pressing it against the cutter.
- 4). Tape the box. Press the hanging adhesive side of the tape down on the box. Press it down with your hand a bit to secure it if necessary. Pull the tape roller toward as you to cover the area you want to tape.
- 5). Free the tape from the roller. Once you reach the end of the taped area, flex your wrist downward to press the non-adhesive side of the tape against the cutter to release the tape.
