Disney Characters Christmas Crafts
- To create Christmas cards with a Disney feel, fold construction paper or card stock in half. Make a snowman by cutting white paper circles (small for the head, medium for the body and large for the base) and pasting them onto the card face. Embellish the cards with marker or bead eyes, felt or an orange paper carrot nose and drawn smiley faces. Instead of using a top hat on your snowman's head, make Mickey Mouse ears for his head. Use the circle that is his head as your guide to make a black circle. Cut the black circle in half and paste two smaller circles on it to create Mickey Mouse ears, and paste the hat onto the snowman. You can also make Disney Christmas cards by placing Disney stickers on red and green paper cards.
- You can create Disney princess-inspired ornaments with colored construction paper. To make a paper fan out of construction paper, cut a half circle. Start at one edge and fold the paper, turn it over, and then fold it again. Continue folding until the fan is complete. Pinch one end of the fan, punch a hole, and tie a ribbon to hold it together. Turn the fan upside down to resemble the Disney princesses' dresses. Use yellow paper for Belle in "Beauty in the Beast" and light blue paper to create Cinderella's dress. Use small rose buds, ribbons, glitter and lace to embellish the dresses like each princess. You can also make Mickey Mouse ear ornaments by cutting the Mickey Mouse head and ear shape out of black craft foam and adding a red ribbon.
- You can create a Disney character garland to be hung on a Christmas tree, wall or mantle. Cut Mickey Mouse head silhouettes out of black construction paper. To make Mickey Mouse's head, cut three circles out of black construction paper. One larger circle represents Mickey's head and two smaller ones can be attached to the top of the large circle to create ears. You can add red bows to the ears to create Minnie Mouse. You may also add paper Santa hats to some of the ears. Make yellow crowns and put Disney princess stickers on them. Hang all the ears and crowns on a red ribbon to create a garland.
- Create Disney character stockings with felt and other simple craft items. Cut two stocking shapes out of felt and glue them together, leaving the top open. Add cotton batting to the stocking top. Use Disney-themed ribbon, available at fabric stores, to make a loop and a bow in the corner. Simply make a ribbon loop and glue or sew it to the top of the stocking. You can also create Disney character stockings by using Disney patterned fabric available at fabric stores.
