Drawing a Traditional Lamp

  Draw an elliptical, horizontal circle.

  Create a trapezoid by using the elliptical circle as the top of the shape. Make sure that the left and right sides are moving downward and diagonally.

  Draw a circle at the bottom of the trapezoid. At the bottom of the circle, add another trapezoid.

Drawing a Floor Lamp

  Draw three rectangles. Triangle 1 should measure 1 inch in length and go down diagonally from left to right. The second triangle should begin at the bottom left of the first triangle and go up diagonally to the right about 1/2 inch. The third rectangle should begin at the upper end of the second rectangle and go straight down 3 inches.

  Add small circles at the ends of all rectangles. At the bottom of the third rectangle you drew in Step 1, add a triangle-shaped base. On the open end of the first rectangle you drew in Step 1, add a triangle-shaped base. On the open end of the first rectangle you drew in Step 1, add a rounded base.
