    • 1). Turn off the hard power switch on the power supply on the back of the computer. Then unplug all peripherals and devices from the back of the computer.

    • 2). Lay the computer on its side on a raised, flat surface, such as a table or high chair.

    • 3). Remove the computer's side panel by unscrewing its mounting bolt on the back and then sliding the panel off.

    • 4). Locate the video card, located in an AGP port on the motherboard. If you are having a hard time locating the card, simply look for the video ports on the back of the computer, and then follow them to the card inside the case.

    • 5). Remove the old card by bending its mounting brace slightly to the side and gently pulling the card out. Pull the card from the middle to prevent damaging the AGP port.

    • 6). While still holding the mounting brace to the side, gently slide the new video card into the slot, matching its ports with the opening on the back of the computer case. This card is slotted and grooved, and can only go in one direction. So, if you are having to force the card in, stop immediately and turn the card around.

    • 7). Replace the case's side panel, and secure it with its mounting bolt.

    • 8). Stand the computer back up, reconnect all the peripherals and power plug, and flip the hard power switch.
