How to Make an Easy Homemade Suncatcher for Kids
- 1). Cut a piece of contact paper into the desired size and shape for your suncatcher. Make a simple shape ,such as a square or circle, or cut out a special shape, such as a heart for Valentine's Day or a tree for Christmas.
- 2). Attach the top, non-sticky side of the contact paper shape to a table with several loops of masking tape and remove the paper from the backside of the contact paper to expose its sticky surface.
- 3). Give your child several pieces of multi-colored tissue paper and allow her to tear or cut the tissue paper into small sections before placing them on the sticky side of the contact paper.
- 4). Place a second, slightly larger piece of contact paper over your child's design once she has completed her suncatcher, sticky side to sticky side.
- 5). Remove the masking tape from the underside of the suncatcher and use scissors to trim away any excess contact paper, making the edges flush so that neither sticky side is exposed.
- 6). Attach the suncatcher to the window with a piece of clear, double-sided tape placed near the top of your child's creation.
