- 1). Remove the battery from your device. On the panel below the battery drive, there is a white rectangle with a long series of digits. This is your serial number. Write this number down on a piece of paper for future reference. After you have written the serial number down, replace the battery.
- 2). Go online to HTC's website for the Touch Pro's ROM update. You can find the link below in Resources.
- 3). At the bottom of the page, type your serial number into the first text-field.
- 4). Click the first drop-down menu and select the name of your device from the list.
- 5). Click the second drop-down menu and select the region closest to where you are.
- 6). Click "Download."
- 7). Plug your device into your computer and double-click the downloaded upgrade file. An update utility wizard will load. Follow the instructions of the upgrade wizard by clicking "Next" after each page. Finalize the installation by clicking "Upgrade." Your device will now be updated with the most recent HTC Touch Pro software.
