How to Modify Your Computer to Dual Boot OS X & Windows
- 1). Launch Boot Camp Assistant. It can be found a folder named "Utilities" within the "Applications" folder on the "Macintosh HD" drive.
- 2). Allocate space to Microsoft Windows. Boot Camp Assistant will recommend a size, or choose up to half of the drive.
- 3). Insert your Microsoft Windows installation disk when prompted to do so.
- 4). Reboot the computer and install Windows. Choose the "BOOTCAMP" partition when prompted for an installation location.
- 5). The computer will reboot automatically. It will then continue with Windows installation.
- 6). Insert the Mac OS X "Install Disk 1" after the computer fully boots into Windows. Windows will install additional hardware drivers from the OS X installation disk.
