I found it frustrating when I first started article marketing. This was because it seemed like my content never got out to a mass audience. Over time, I have found and discovered some article marketing tips for both writing and promoting content that make a HUGE difference. Follow these tips and you will start seeing some results.

TIPS ON WRITING ARTICLES

1. Provide Value: You may be the best promoter in the world, but until you provide valuable content, no one is going to want to read your stuff. Make sure you have the reader in mind and are providing them value!

2. Short & Broken Up: People looking for information on the Internet don't want a book to read. Your articles should be short and sweet. My articles vary, but I try to keep it under 600 words.
Keep your sentences and paragraphs short as well. Add bold font and italics to spice up your content. This also allows readers to skip to the section of the article that interests them most.
3. Pick the Right Words: If you want your article to rank in the search engines, you'll need to do some keyword research. It's about finding a key-phrase that gets searched for often, but does not have too much competition. Market Samurai and Google's keyword tool are two free resources which can help you find your article's needed phrases.

Once you find a good key-phrase I would put it in the body of the article once every hundred words and include it in your title. (My key-phrase for this article is "article marketing tips").
4. An Exciting Headline and Summary: How many times have you opted NOT to read something because it sounded boring? Give your article title the love it deserves! I like brainstorming a headline and summary before I write the article body. This keeps me focused on what I want to accomplish in writing the article; it also eliminates any potential last-minute laziness.
5. A "Call-to-Action" Resource Box: Don't waste this valuable real estate on a short bio. Instead, tell the reader what to do next. This may be to try a product, sign up for your bootcamp, or sign up for additional training. Make sure the call to action is RELEVANT to the infromation in your article.
ARTICLE MARKETING TIPS ON PROMOTION:

1. Blog: It's hard to find a better long-term strategy then a blog! It can serve as your content and article homebase. Having the freedom to add banners, videos, opt-in forms, graphics, etc. help make it a very useful lead generation tool. A blog is a great way to brand yourself, will show visitors that you are an expert in your niche, and are the darling of search engines. Blogs oftentimes rank exceptionally well since they contain a lot of keywords and are updated often.
2. Use OnlyWire: Onlywire.com is a cool syndication service that will automatically send out your article to all the hot social bookmarking sites including twitter, digg, del.icio.us, and many others.
3. Facebook Groups: If you don't have a Facebook account, you should get one now. It's a great place to meet other people in your niche. They may also be interested in your content! Join multiple Facebook groups in your niche, and post your content on the group's wall to get it in front of as many eyes as possible.
4. Emails: Reuse your content again by sending it out to your Email list.
5. Become a Tribemember: Get maximum exposure to your article by becoming a tribemember. Everyone shares each others content which is a win-win situation for all. Some top tribes include The Unified Tribe, TSA Mastery, and Tribe Pro.
