How to Add a Break to a Taskbar

    • 1). Right-click on a blank area of the taskbar. Click "Properties" from the menu.

    • 2). Click the "Taskbar" tab in the "Properties" dialog box. Open the menu next to "Taskbar Buttons." Click "Always Combine, Hide Labels."

    • 3). Click "Apply" and "OK" to close the properties dialog box. Open several different programs. Then open several windows within each program. The taskbar will consolidate all active windows down to one program-specific icon, also establishing a break in between the icons.
