Arkansas Game Fish Laws
- Arkansas has several game species. These include black bass, white bass, alligator gar, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, crappie, catfish, trout, sunfish, goggle-eye, walleye, paddlefish, pickerels, muskellunge, northern pike, sauger, saugeye and bream. Catfish and paddlefish are considered commercial fish whenever they are caught with commercial tackle.
- The daily limits for game fish vary by species and range from one per day for alligator gar to 25 per day for white bass. Anglers are limited to 75 fish per day. Different fishing areas may have area-specific regulations and anglers should consult either the AGFC website or a current "Arkansas Fishing Guidebook."
- AGFC fishing licenses range from the resident fisheries conservation license which permits fishing throughout the state with sport tackle to the 65-plus lifetime fishing license. License fees range from $10.50 for annual license to $1,000 for the nonexpiring lifetime resident hunting and fishing sportsman's permit (as of 2010). Permits are required to take alligator gar and trout.
