Definition: The Ehoiai is a Catalogue of Women. The name Ehoiai name comes from the first words in each section (ê 'oiê). Each section of Ehoiai proceeds to describe one of the heroic Greek women and is valuable for providing genealogical information on the heroes born to mortal women and gods.
Ehoiai was probably written in the first part of the sixth century B.C. Only segments of Ehoiai survive, in citations of it and on papyrus fragments.
