Artists celebrate a decade at Image Source
"I find the greetings industry a really exciting industry to be part of and Image Source are a great team to work with" – Emma Freeman
Image Source is a leading art licensing agency, supplying designs for commercial products for over 14 years. We work with some of the big named publishers to produce new and exciting speculative designs and commissions.
We are a small, friendly team with the creative skills and business experience to maximise the opportunities in the commercial field of art licensing. We represent a number of artists both nationally and internationally, many of whom are celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary with Image Source in 2011.
Emma Freeman is one such artist who shares her creative process with us face to face as she works from her garden studio near our offices in rural Hertfordshire. Emma loves travel and is deeply enthused by books, magazines and objects she collects. Her success has been built upon her ability to adapt to different styles and the implementation of a wide range of mixed media in her work.
Emma receives positive worldwide recognition for her abilities along with the production of fresh engaging artwork showcased by Image Source at Surtex in New York and various shows in the UK. She has been nominated for various awards including the Louie Award which she won in 2009.
Makiko also exhibits her work with Image Source Art Licensing. Makiko is a renowned illustrator for greetings cards and children's publishing. She describes the art licensing industry as a magical world of which she loves been a apart of and loves working with Image Source - Art Licensing
"As I love nature and animals, most of my illustrations are animals. My inspiration comes from the innocent movement of animals and children. And for me animals are good way of conveying a message and emotion." Says Makiko.
Image Source have worked with Makiko since 2008 and have watched her art make a huge success in the arts & crafts industries. Her designs are on cards but also used to produce rubber stamps because of her intricate pencil styles. Please search on the www.image-source.co.uk website for Makiko designs.
Also featured in the Image Source 10 Year Artist Portfolio are artists including Julia Hawkins, Nicola Gregory, Tricia Harrison and Rob Fathers all of whom have new work to be showcased this year at Surtex, New York and PG Live, London.
