Google Advertising Programs - The Difference Between AdWords And AdSense
The difference is so glaring from each other yet it is often mixed up to mean the same by many who are new to internet marketing.
So let me try to explain the two terminologies in the best language that will be okay for a third grade student.
Google AdWords is an advertising program design by Google itself to help savvy internet marketers get their product, websites or services in front of many customers or prospective customers that are looking for that same product or something similar to the product.
Now if you have searched for information on the Google search engine before, at the right hand corner of some displayed result, you will see the sponsored link where some ads are displayed with their links at the end of each ad.
Having your ads displayed on search pages will boost your return on investment because you have an opportunity to place your product where it is needed.
And this will drive lots of people to your website or whatever you are promoting.
So having your website or product on the sponsored links on the search page requires that you have to pay some token to achieve this.
You will need to bid for the keyword you are targeting and depending on how competitive your keyword is determines how much more you have to pay and vice versa.
Now let me quickly say something on Google AdSense Google AdSense is also a program designed by Google to allow some web owner or blog owners make some few cents.
The program works like this: if you allow Google to place ads on your website or blog site, and if by any chance your website visitors clicked on any of the ads on your site, Google will pay you.
It is as simple as that.
So the difference between the two is that, while with Google AdWords, you have to pay Google for the keywords you are bidding on, with Google AdSense Google pays you for every click made on the ads on your sites.
So if you are planning making headway in your internet marketing endeavor you should invest more of your time with Google AdWords because this is where the money is.
But many have lost so much money with this advertising program because they have no understanding of how it works.
In conclusion the difference is really simple between the two programs; you use Google AdWords to place your ads on Google's service while Google AdSense requires that Google uses your website or blog to promote their ads.
