What Trees are Good Evergreen Privacy Screens?
- Able to grow in full sun or part shade, holly is a decorative choice, thanks to its dense and glossy leaves. Plant with a pollinator for red winter berries.
- A fast growing, pyramid-shaped evergreen, Leyland Cypress comes in both green and blue varieties, and can be pruned to shape, growing best in full sun.
- This is the classic hedge. Be sure to choose an evergreen variety if you are using it as a screen--not all varieties hold their leaves. Privet grows fast, and has white flowers followed by black berries.
- Boxwood is very dense and can be grown in topiary shapes, growing best in full sun; a very neat and easy-care shrub.
