Hollywood"s Greatest Night at the Oscars 2010
This was one night where they did not mind getting their photo taken.
The best of the best and only the elite were at the Oscars.
There were several different categories and many different nominations to go along with the awards.
In addition, some of the celebrities on hand all expected the unexpected.
According to sources some of the nominated celebrities go with the attitude of not expecting an award and that is when they get one.
The Hurt Locker was the best picture out of the movies such as Precious, Avatar, Up in the air, Inglourious Bastards, Up, Invictus, The Blind Side, District 9, An education, and A serious Man.
As far as the actor portion went Morgan Freeman got the award for Invictus There were many nominees for this part of the award show.
Jeff Bridges got an award for Crazy Heart, and Christopher Waltz for Inglourious Bastards.
The best actress of course was none other than Sandra Bullock although again there were many nominees for that one too.
In addition, Up got the award for best animation movie along with Rick Carter and Robert Stromberg being the art directors.
As for cinematography that award went to Mauro Fiore with Avatar.
The best director was Kathryn Bigelow for the Hurt Locker.
There were a lot of awards given out and many celebrities were on hand to receive them.
In some instances when they were on stage thanking everyone they usually were at a loss for words.
Some of them were new actors and actresses while others have been around for quite awhile and they are still going strong in the acting arena.
There was some conflict however in the fact that one of the awards had to do with Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.
It seems there was controversy about it because fans believed that Farrah should have gotten the inductee position and instead Michael Jackson did.
Farrah died last year after a battle with cancer and she deserved the spotlight.
Michael on the other hand, as good as he was did not hold the prestige that Farrah did, according to many of her fans.
There was not really a good reason given as to why she was omitted from the category.
The night however long it would be was something that celebrities look forward too.
There is usually a party at someones house before and after the show.
All of the lights, the cameras, and the photographers made for a glorious night and one that many of the celebrities do not soon forget.
Those individual celebrities that did not get an award were simply honored at the fact that they were even nominated for many of the movies they played in or other things they participated in.
And yet, some of the celebrities just could not make the show, but not many.
Those that did not make the Oscars if awarded an award still received the award anyway.
Essentially, the night was a good night for the stars in Hollywood to shine and to show out who they really are.
Many of them were telling reporters jokes or harassing them playfully.
But as stated above this was one place where they wanted their pictures to be taken.
Not because they were there but because of how great they looked.
They really did look phenomenal in their gowns and the men in the tuxedos did not look all that bad either.
All good things come to an end however, and now the 82nd Oscars have ended and it s back to work for the celebrities.
