    • 1). Take size into consideration. Gas cookers range from 24 inches to over 40 inches in width. Choose one that will not only fit in your kitchen but also compliment the look and feel of your kitchen.

    • 2). Compare features. Gas stoves come with a variety of different features. Take into consideration the number of burners, whether it burns propane, natural gas or both, ovens, self cleaning ability, fans, LED displays and other features.

    • 3). Match each gas cooker's oven capacity. Choosing between a smaller, medium and large size oven capacity depends on your needs.

    • 4). Compare wattage. Some gas stove cookers also have a feature for cooking with electricity. A higher wattage gas stove has the ability to cook things faster, but at a higher cost. Depending on your needs it may be unnecessary

    • 5). Compare J.D. power satisfaction. Avoid cookers that rank on the low end of the J.D power rating system, as these cookers are either inefficient, cheaply made or do not back up their promises.

    • 6). Examine prices side by side. Pricier cookers aren't always better. Some come laden with features that you will never use but still pay for.
