Keeping Busy in All Different Genres: If Fox Searchlight hadn't pushed back the release date of The Namesake to 2007, Jacinda Barrett would have had three films hitting theaters in September '06. ?Literally they were all back-to-back this year. I did Namesake, then I did Last Kiss. I wrapped Last Kiss really late at night, flew the next day to Poseidon, was on set that afternoon on Poseidon.

Then whilst I was finishing Poseidon they offered me School for Scoundrels. But that was such a light, easy thing for me that it was a walk in the park.

I have two [movies opening] now. They?ve moved The Namesake to next year. But even having these two, even the characters in School for Scoundrels and The Last Kiss are so different? School for Scoundrels is very light and very easy and I play Australian, so I?m happy. I think it?s good. I think it?s nice to have really diverse material in different genres, and I think it shows that you have a range and you?re willing to put yourself out there.?

Barrett continued, ?The fun thing about School for Scoundrels was that my character ended up being a little dorky in the end, too. That was fun for me because she?s not the one who?s got it totally together either. We changed my look a bit for it, so that became fun for me to put myself in that world, too.?
