How to Learn Algebra II
- 1). Master Algebra I. Before you learn advanced algebra, you must be confident in the topics covered in Algebra I. Review an Algebra I textbook to ensure you are comfortable with the basic concepts.
- 2). Get help at Algebra.com (see Resources). This website contains lessons and homework help for Algebra II concepts such as complex numbers, rational functions, conic sections and sequences.
- 3). Purchase the six hour DVD course called "The Algebra 2 Tutor" (see Resources). The course guides students through example problems in topics such as graphing equations, adding and subtracting radical expressions, and solving polynomial equations. As you watch the program, copy the problems down in your notebook and follow the instructor's steps in solving.
- 4). Purchase the book "Algebra II for Dummies" (see Resources). In non-technical language, the book teaches advanced algebra concepts and shows example problems. It includes a "cheat sheet" which lists commonly used formulas and rules.
