Technicians working in Florida received an hourly rate of $10.67. Nail specialists employed in New Jersey earned an hourly mean wage of $11.63. Florida manicurists and pedicurists earned slightly more, receiving an hourly rate of $12.07.

    • Hourly mean wages for nail specialists in Iowa exceeded the national hourly mean wage of $10.61. Manicurists and pedicurists in Vermont received $15.23 hourly, while Tennessee technicians earned $14.78. Nail techs in North Dakota received a mean wage of $13.86 hourly, while their counterparts in Oregon earned $13.76. Those working in the Dallas-Plano-Irving, Texas, metropolitan area fared slightly better with an hourly mean wage of $15.85. The Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro-Franklin, Tennessee, area followed closely with an hourly mean wage of $15.71.
